Business hub

A leader’s most important job is to protect the company’s capacity to act

Three days for your management team to settle what six months at the office couldn’t. Meeting space, rooms, meals and transfers, all under one roof and in a single quote.

Day rates are listed below. Group enquiries get a reply within 24 hours.

Why Salla

Where the team stays together

Bring your team to Salla and they stay together. There’s no office to drift back to in the afternoon and no city to disappear into after dinner. The same people sit round the same table from morning to night, three days running. That’s what you’re paying for.

You can take over the whole of Sallavalkea. No other guests, no other programme. The meeting room is yours around the clock and the staff know exactly who they’re there for.

The fells are ten kilometres away. Getting outside for a break doesn’t mean hiring a coach or losing half a day, so you stay in control of the schedule.

Who it’s for

Who we built it for

Management teams

A small group with big decisions to make. A meeting room of your own, meals from the restaurant and a hot sauna in the evening. Step out onto the fells whenever it suits you. Two or three nights usually work best for a leadership group.

Whole teams

Development days, or time away for all your staff. With the house to yourselves, the programme runs on your timetable and nobody else is using the rooms.

Training and courses

Courses running over several days, with everyone there from start to finish. Evenings are free for the programme or for some quiet time, and the next morning picks up at the same table.

Working on your own

You don’t need a group to work here. Remote workers and professionals visiting Salla get a desk, breakfast, lunch and coffee for one price, and can end the day with a swim. Add a room to the same booking if you’re staying over.

Training and coaching

It all starts with the individual

How can we lead others, look after a customer or build a strong team if we can’t see the effect of our own behaviour?

The programme begins with you: your thoughts, your choices and the way you work. The better we understand ourselves, the more clearly we communicate, the more openly we connect with others and the more responsibility we take for what we achieve together.

When people learn to recognise and manage how they act, they get better at influencing, collaborating and creating something new. You see it in better conversations, stronger teamwork and more focused work. Slowing down in the quiet of Salla makes room for new insight.

Example topics

Communication

Lead yourself and others

Participants look at how they speak, listen and react. The course practises clear expression, constructive feedback and being fully present in a conversation, all to build trust and cooperation at work.

Sales

Influence, connect, lead

Selling starts with understanding the customer. Participants identify their strengths, practise asking and listening, and learn to move a sales conversation forward with purpose. Results come from genuinely meeting the customer’s needs.

Team spirit

From individuals to a strong team

A strong team rests on each member taking responsibility and on trust between them. The course looks at what gets in the way of cooperation, how to agree shared ways of working and how a leader sets the team up to succeed. Everyone leaves knowing what they can do to make the team stronger.

Creativity and innovation

Dare to think differently

New solutions take the courage to ask, suggest and try. Participants learn to notice habitual thinking, make room for other viewpoints and turn workable ideas into practice through small experiments.

Three ways to run a course

Plan it with us. Tell us what you need and we’ll help you put together company days that are productive and memorable.

Bring your own trainer. Hire the rooms and bring your own trainer. We look after accommodation, meals and the sauna.

Take the whole hotel. The house is yours alone for the length of the course.

Spaces

What you’ll find at Sallavalkea

The fireplace room, where a team can wrap up the day The restaurant in the evening, with laid tables and warm lighting A hotel room in the evening, the bed and a reading light against a wood-slat wall A table laid in the restaurant The lounge, with armchairs and artwork on the wall The sauna and its benches

How it works for a company visit

You book the meeting room and the bedrooms together, so you’re not juggling two suppliers’ schedules. Work, meals and evenings all happen under one roof, with no shuttling between venues.

The spaces are agreed before you arrive and stay yours for the whole visit. Nothing has to be cleared away and the meeting room isn’t reset every morning. If work runs late, it can stay open into the evening. Mealtimes fit around your schedule.

One quote and one contact person for the whole visit.

The whole house

Take over all of Sallavalkea

Request a quote for the whole house

Book the whole of Sallavalkea and there are no other guests, the meeting room is open around the clock and the staff are there only for you. There are 20 rooms, mostly doubles. The house sleeps 20 in single rooms, 40 sharing and up to 55 with extra beds.

Most company groups book single rooms, so it helps to give us your team size as a number of rooms.

Tech

Lost the HDMI cable?

The house has Wi-Fi. Tell us in your enquiry what tech the programme needs and we’ll have it ready, so nobody is hunting for a cable mid-session.

Food and recovery

Meals built into the programme

Your programme doesn’t have to fit round the restaurant’s opening hours. We agree the meals with you before the visit, to suit your schedule.

The sauna is heated, no booking needed.

Coffee is available all day.

What’s on

You won’t be the only ones here

Sallavalkea is building an events calendar for companies, adding events as they come up.

The same trip can introduce you to people you’d never otherwise have met. Plenty of groups come to Salla to get their own work done and head home with a couple of new contacts.

If your group would like to give a talk, run a workshop or present something in the house, mention it in your enquiry. We’ll check together whether it fits with other groups staying at the same time.

First in the calendar is the opening of the house on 27 November 2026, the same week as the SALLA 360° growth event at Sallatunturi.

Let us know in your enquiry if this interests you and we’ll agree the details well before your visit.

Why three nights

The first evening goes on arriving and getting your bearings. The next day, people settle in. It’s only on the third day that they’re really ready for change. Salla’s surroundings calm the nervous system, and lower stress is known to lead to better decisions.

One- and two-day meeting packages are easy to come by, and they’re fine for sharing information. A decision that needs to stick needs a third day. That’s why we recommend three nights or more. Shorter stays are possible, as long as the programme is planned to fit.
