2. What we collect and why
Enquiry form. Name, email, phone, arrival date, number of nights and guests, interests and any wishes you add. We use these only to prepare a quote and to stay in touch about it. The legal basis is steps taken before entering into a contract.
Room bookings. Bookings are made in the Happybooking system. The details you give there are stored in that system and in the hotel's booking records. The legal basis is the contract.
Accommodation. Finnish accommodation law requires us to collect a guest registration form. We keep these records for the period the law requires.
Email and phone. When you contact us, we use the details in your message to reply.
3. Cookies and tracking
This website uses no tracking cookies and no analytics. Fonts are served from our own server, so browsing the site sends no data to third parties.
4. Who we share data with
Two providers process data on our behalf: the Happybooking booking system, and Netlify, which hosts the website and its forms. We never sell data or pass it on for marketing.
Some providers may process data outside the EU. Any such transfer relies on the EU standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
5. How long we keep data
- Enquiries: for as long as we need them to handle the quote and related correspondence
- Booking records: for the period required by accounting law
- Guest registration forms: for the period required by law
6. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format. Send requests to info@sallavalkea.fi and we will reply within one month. If you believe we are processing your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland (tietosuoja.fi).
7. Changes
We update this notice whenever our processing changes. The date of the latest update is shown at the top.
